- Sounds like an experience similar to what I went through with an MSDOS
- formatted hard drive on my 3000. The CrossDOS manual states this
- explicitly, but I do not believe the AmigaDOS 2.1 manual does. Lucky me,
- I have both :-)
-
- At any rate, in order to get an MSDOS formatted partition on a hard
- drive, you need to create a mountlist entry for it that has
- CrossDOSFileSystem pointed to (I think that's the correct name under
- 2.1), but, MOST importantly, you MUST name the drive either DHC: or DHD:.
- NO OTHER NAME WILL WORK.
-
- This is BURIED in the CrossDOS 5 manual, BTW, and I'm lucky to have found
- it at all. I certainly won't forget it after that! :-)
