  20. Sounds like an experience similar to what I went through with an MSDOS 
  21. formatted hard drive on my 3000.  The CrossDOS manual states this 
  22. explicitly, but I do not believe the AmigaDOS 2.1 manual does.  Lucky me, 
  23. I have both :-)

  25. At any rate, in order to get an MSDOS formatted partition on a hard 
  26. drive, you need to create a mountlist entry for it that has 
  27. CrossDOSFileSystem pointed to (I think that's the correct name under 
  28. 2.1), but, MOST importantly, you MUST name the drive either DHC: or DHD:. 
  29. NO OTHER NAME WILL WORK.

  31. This is BURIED in the CrossDOS 5 manual, BTW, and I'm lucky to have found 
  32. it at all.  I certainly won't forget it after that! :-)
